Moving Demo
Moving Demo
Tuesday 2nd November
In today’s lesson we looked at moving shots. This is a great way to enhance even a simple shot. By adding motion it improves the overall shot and makes it more visually interesting. My group experimented with using a chair to control the cameraman, which allowed a smoother movement. Additionally we also experimented with the small gimbal that’s on the end of some of the tripods. Overall it was a very useful lesson.
Moving Shot 1
For this shot we had one person on a chair with another pushing them. When I lined up with the camera, the person started pushing the chair in time with me. This resulted in the camera tracking me as I made my way up the stairs.
Moving Shot 2
For this shot we also used a chair. When I opened the door and started walking forward, the chair was being pulled back in time with me walking.
Moving Shot 3
We experimented with the gimbal on the camera for this shot. I simply walked down to the chair while the camera was simply handheld and following me.
